MOZZARELLA STICKS

MOZZARELLA STICKS

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of mozzarella cheese in a block
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons of nonfat milk, for a healthier alternative
  • 0.25 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of plain bread crumbs

Directions:

  1. Create 3 x 1/2 inch sticks out of the cheese blocks by cutting it carefully.
  2. In separate bowls, prepare bread crumbs, and flour.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk with the egg.
  4. Coat the cheese sticks by putting them into flour, then milk and egg, and finally bread crumbs.
  5. Place them onto a cookie sheet and freeze for 12 hours.
  6. Fry the sticks in small batches, for 12 minutes, at 400 degrees.
